The Official Dinner will be held at the Beko-Errota Restaurant in Hondarribia, located in a historic country house. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden, crossed by a stream.

Before the dinner starts, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a interesting performance of Basque rural sport and dancing.

ACCOMPANYING PERSON PROGRAMME

Wednesday, October 3rd

COASTLINE of the FRENCH BASQUE COUNTRY

09:00h. Departure by bus from the hotels, accompanied by an English speaking guide.

We will cross the Spanish border to get to Biarritz (France), a famous seaside resort the famous Hotel du Palais, the former summer residence of Napoleon III, is located.

After that, we will visit St. Jean de Luz, city of a large tourist tradition with a wide pedestrian zone where we could go shopping.

Lunch at a typical restaurant and visit of Hondarribia, a picturesque fishermen village whose old quarter is declared National Monument.

17:30 h. Return trip to the hotel.

Thursday, October 4th

GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM and GETARIA

09:00 h. Departure by bus from the hotel, accompanied by an English speaking guide.

We will visit the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank O. Gehry, which has come to symbolise the city´s cultural and urban regeneration.

We will admire the external facades of this work, where stone, titanium and glass are perfectly combined. We will then have a guided tour of the interior, in order to see the different artistic styles of the 20th century.

After that, we will leave Bilbao to go to Getaria, a beautiful fishermen village, where Juan Sebastián Elcano, the first seafarer to go around the world, was born.

Lunch at a typical restaurant and visit of the village.

17:30 h. Return trip to the hotel.

POST CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

Saturday, October 6th

SAN SEBASTIÁN and CHILLIDA LEKU

09:30 h. Departure by bus from the hotel, accompanied by an English speaking guide.

We will visit Chillida Leku, the open-air museum of the well-known Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida.

After that, Sightseeing of San Sebastián admiring the breathtaking views from Mount Igueldo over the Concha bay, the Romantic Area, the sculptures of the Peine del Viento, etc.

Return to San Sebastián and visit of the Old Town.

Lunch of "pintxos" in the Old Town,visiting various bars.

16:00 h. Return trip to the hotel.
