We establish collaboration agreements with other technology centres, universities, companies, financial entities and public institutions, with the aim of positioning ourselves in a given market and/or complementing and strengthening our technological offer.
The following are some of our most representative collaborations:
Fatronik constituted the CIC MARGUNE in 2002, together with other Technology Centres and Universities in the Basque Country.
It is a pioneering initiative in the high performance manufacturing field that is inclined towards the development of research excellence, basic directed research, contributing to increasing the degree of competitiveness of Basque companies by means of the introduction of manufacturing processes that are competitive worldwide.
Ingema - Instituto Gerontológico Matía (Matía Gerontological Institute)
Fatronik maintains a collaboration agreement with Ingema and VICOMTech which brings together the capacities of the three entities to achieve the optimum scientific-technological development of the Health Technologies, with a special emphasis on Assistive Technologies.
The knowledge and specialisation of Ingema is related to different disciplines (neurology, neuropsychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, geriatrics, gerontology, etc.) related to the care of the elderly and disabled and their families.
Fatronik maintains a collaboration agreement with Ingema and VICOMTech which brings together the capacities of the three entities to achieve the optimum scientific-technological development of the Health Technologies, with a special emphasis on Assistive Technologies.
VICOMTech, as an Applied Research Centre in Computer Graphics and Multimedia technologies, can contribute in different ways to improving the quality of life of the elderly and disabled by means of assistive technologies related with their area of activity.
Collaboration with kutxa is centred on the generation of spin-offs, with the aim of boosting and facilitating the creation of Guizpuzcoan technology based companies by means of refundable economic aids.
Fatronik´s experience has revealed that many research programmes can turn into viable business projects. On the other hand, kutxa´s intention is to collaborate, though it´s Charitable Work, with the applied research programmes susceptible to turning towards business.
Fatronik collaborates in the local development strategy and commits itself to the innovation that Fomento de San Sebastian, as a municipal company, is promoting. Amongst others, the following services are rendered. Technological advice to companies supported by Fomento, creation of new companies, organisation of congresses, participation in the San Sebastian Strategic Plan...
WVHTF - West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation
In Fatronik´s collaboration and internationalisation policy, collaborations have been established in the United States with renowned entities in different technological fields.
In the case of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation, a collaboration agreement exists for the joint development of solutions in the robotics and health technologies areas.
LIRMM - Laboratoire d´Informatique de Robotique et de Microélectronique de Montpellier
The Montpellier computer, robotics and microelectronics laboratory (LIRMM in French) is a research entity belonging to the University of Montpellier II (UMII) and to the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research).
It is a European reference in the robotics field, with which Fatronik collaborates thanks to the complementarity of the knowledge areas of both entities. With Lirmm, the joint development of new solutions integrating robotics and parallel kinematics and the exchange of researchers is promoted between the two centres.
ECN - Ecole Centrale de Nantes (Francia) e iRCCyN - Institut Recherche Communications Cybernetique N
A close collaboration exists with the Nantes Engineering School (ECN, France) and especially with the IRCCyN research laboratory that arises as a result of the complementarity between the activities and areas of excellence of each centre and of the identification of research lines of mutual interest. It is based on the carrying out of joint projects, the joint putting together of results and the exchange of personnel between the two centres.
The projects developed, especially those aimed at the aeronautics sector, are centred on new production systems, based on parallel kinematics, and on the research of new manufacturing processes. Furthermore, this collaboration is reinforced by the interest and active participation of EADS Airbus (especially by its centres in Nantes and Saint Nazaire) in the jointly carried out projects.
