Our mission
Research, Develop and Innovate (R&D&I)
FATRONIK-Tecnalia is a project shared by persons, who under the figure of a private non-profit organisation, is dedicated to generating and assimilating knowledge, transforming it into competitive business innovations, with technology transfer to existing companies or promoting the creation of new companies. Our objective is the generation of wealth, well being and satisfaction for society, customers and the people in our organisation.
R&D&I for the company and also for people
FATRONIK-Tecnalia is an investigation centre, specialised in the generation of intelligent devices that require the integration of different technologies: mechanics, control, electronics and information technologies, and a profound knowledge of manufacturing technologies. Knowledge Section
Historically, FATRONIK-Tecnalia has been applying this knowledge to respond to the technological needs or several industrial sectors, helping to increase their efficiency and competitivity. However, since 2003 it has committed itself to applying technology in the social sphere as well. We are attempting to improve the quality of life of people, centring ourselves mainly on the elderly and disabled. Action Areas Section and Strategic Sectors
R&D&I to create value
FATRONIK-Tecnalia's objective is clear: To transform knowledge into business. To this end, we have developed innovative relationship models with our customers that guarantee maximum profitability and are translated into innovative products, processes and services that improve their degree of competitiveness.
Not only that. Our intention is that all our knowledge, all our research, be directed towards the creation of value: generating ideas that become businesses and contribute to boosting economic growth and improving the competitiveness of the business fabric. To this end, we make a great effort in the generation of patents and their subsequent licensing and in the creation of new technology based companies.
R&D&I with the future very much in mind
The customer is our main commitment, although not the only one. Our mission also underlines a vocation for the social, economic and environmental surroundings in which we live in.
This double commitment leads us to take the initiative. Because innovation is also anticipation. For this reason, we undertake leading edge research on our own initiative. We research and cooperate with institutions and technology centres all round the world, assimilating knowledge with the aim of establishing the bases of our advances.
