Knowledge protected in order to create value

Knowledge is presently the main element generating competitive advantages… as long as it is protected!

Aware of this fact, FATRONIK-Tecnalia maintains and active policy of knowledge protection and exploitation generated through its strategic research, by means of patents and other intellectual property rights.

A multidisciplinary team that covers several areas of the process of knowledge transfer (business and legal techniques), studies the viability of the development of new patents and the best subsequent means of exploitation.

These are the patents generated by FATRONIK-Tecnalia up to the moment:

• Kinematical system for a movable platform of a machine
• Machine-tool with continuous position adjustment
• Kinematic system for machine tool headstock
• Individual pitch adjustment system for rotor blades
• Device in rotors for the independent control of blade step variation
• Lattice for building a machine
• Parallel manipulator with a passive guiding mechanism

Added to these patents, four new patents in the robot handling area, solar tracking devices and manufacturing processes are in the process of being accepted.
